Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Google and Samsung lead the ranking of companies by value, according to the Interbrand report.

The power of technology is increasingly evident and business models have adapted to this evolution. Proof of this is that the top five most valuable brands in the world, developed by Interbrand, are headed by companies in the technology category. These are the giants Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Google and Samsung.

Apple, in first place, is valued at US$482.2 million this year, while in 2021 it reached a value of US$408.2 million. Its growth was 18%. The company of California origin is characterized by its annual launches, in which the iPhone SE was launched, a new generation of iPad Air, Mac Studio M1, systems such as MacOs 13, iOS 16, products such as iPadOS 16, WatchOS 9 and, of course, Of course, the iPhone 14, Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE 2, Apple Watch Ultra and the Airpods Pro 2.

In second place is Microsoft with a value of US$278.2 million and growth of 32% compared to last year, when it registered a brand value of US$210.1 million. The growth allowed it to go from third place to second, surpassing Amazon, with whom it traded places. The company continues to be an axis of current computers, as it maintains Windows updates and the logistics developed have allowed it to reach the entire world in abundance.

Amazon presented a growth of 10%, although it fell in the position table. Its current value is US$274.8 million, while in 2021 it was US$249.2 million. However, the company has remained the largest e-commerce platform on the planet and the commitment to growth remains, as it will open nine points in Latin America, adding to another six that already operate in the region.

Fourth place is occupied by Google, which is currently valued at $251.7 million, with a growth of 28% compared to last year, when it was valued at US$196.8 million. And the company’s extensive portfolio allows it to remain in fourth place for two years; businesses like YouTube, Google Play, Google Pixel smartphones, the Alexa voice assistant, tools like Google Cloud and one of its main elements: the search engine, in which there is an advertising model where brands invest billions.

The top five closes with Samsung, which has a value of US$87.6 million and presented a growth of 17%, since in 2021 it registered a value of US$74.6 million and remained in fifth place. In launches, the folding phones launched this year such as the Galaxy Z Flip4 and the Galaxy Z Fold4 were welcomed by the market, and this is added to the portfolio of home appliances where it has televisions, washing machines, among others, plus its role with the manufacture of chips in the technology industry.

The following brands that complete the top 10 are from other categories. Toyota follows, in the automotive category; Coca-Cola, in beverages; Mercedes Benz, automotive; Disney, on average; and Nike, for sports.
