People magazine has had access to several fragments of The Woman in Me, Britney Spears‘ next memoir that will hit stores this October 24. Among the topics that the American magazine has advanced in this book is the relationship between Spears and Justin Timberlake, revealing that the couple that the paparazzi harassed during the early 2000s were expecting a child that Britney aborted.
The Princess of Pop assured that, despite being a surprise, it was not “a tragedy,” because she loved Justin enough to one day have a family together. However, the musician and later actor had the last word.
“It was a surprise, but for me it was not a tragedy. I loved Justin very much. I always hoped that one day we would have a family together. This would just be much sooner than I had anticipated. But Justin was definitely not happy about the pregnancy. “He said that we were not ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were too young,” Spears declares in her book.

Spears also confesses that if it had been up to her, she would never have undergone this process, defining it as “one of the most distressing things” she has ever experienced.

Timberlake remains married to Biel, but Britney’s new statements could cause friction in the marriage.

Days before People shared these first fragments of the book, Page Six reported that Timberlake was worried about what Britney could capture in her memoirs, and now, it is clear why.
“He is very curious to know what she will reveal about their relationship. It eats away at him from the inside,” said a source close to the American tabloid.
Despite the bad experiences that Britney and Justin had in their relationship, it seems that they do not hold any grudges. In fact, Timberlake shared a message in 2022 through his Instagram account where he tried to apologize for everything he put Britney through, considering that he could have been a key figure for the pop princess to submit to the guardianship of his father.
