The European Commission announced this Wednesday (02.02.2022) the adoption of the project that grants a sustainability seal to energy investments, presented as a step towards carbon neutrality and that includes nuclear and gas generation.

“We should accelerate the elimination of more harmful energy sources, move to an energy mix based mainly on renewable energies. But the states of the European Union have different starting points,” European Commission Vice President Valdis Dombrovskis wrote on Twitter.
“So, under strict conditions, gas and nuclear power can act as a bridge to a greener energy system as transition activities,” he added.
