AMC, the world’s largest cinema company, is set to receive meme cryptocurrenciesDogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) very soon. Adam Aron, CEO of AMC Theaters has revealed this statement and framed an update on his company’s decision to accept these meme coins.

To add, AMC Theaters, also known as AMC Entertainment Holdings, is listed as the largest movie showing company in the US, Europe, and around the world. The company owns approximately 950 theaters and 10,500 screens in the world.

Additionally, Aron tweeted on Thursday that he had been repeatedly receiving questions about accepting Dogecoin and Shiba Inu for any type of payment made through AMC’s website and mobile app. He confirmed that AMC is still “on track” for the first quarter rollout, probably in March.

Last year in November, the AMC executive announced that the company will accept DOGE and SHIB using Bitpay. But, at the time, Bitpay did not support Shiba Inu. Aron claimed that only after his request did the crypto payment processing company begin endorsing the meme coin.

In addition to this, Aron said that AMC will start accepting Shiba Inu in the first quarter of this year. Bitpay, which was already DOGE compliant, began delaying SHIB in early December.
